The 4558 chip's date code is 9038, 38th week of 1990
so the earliest would be late summer to early fall

Now I know why I hadn't seen the MN3007, I don't have a CE-2 yet! I'm using a Maxon made Ibanez BC9, which is like 2 chorus pedals in one. It has a dual set of speed and width knobs and runs 2 MM3207 w/ the MN3102 clock drivers. I believe this is the same setup that's in the DC-2.

Hi Guys

Regarding nathanscribe's MIT CE-2

It also looks as though (D7) the protection zener diode,
has been replaced with a 1N4004 Rectifier diode.
What do you other Tech guys think?

And the soldering on wire/pin 13 looks a bit dodgy
- I would clean up the old solder & resolder it with fresh solder.
To avoid any possible long term problems.

Regards Dr. Bob

Hmm, never noticed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Agreed about the diode. A 1N400x is "ok", but it really should be replaced with an 11V (or 12V) 1W zener diode to give better protection.
