Ha-ha! I was searching eBay the other day, seeing how much DM-2's are going for these days. My search got a hit on this, and I bought it on the spot.
It's from the Feb 1982 issue of Guitar Player. Back around then, I had all three of these babies on my pedalboard. Sadly, it was stolen (along with all the rest of the band's gear and the van it was in) in 1984.
These days, I have an MIJ BF-2, but substituted a CE-3 for the CE-2, and have a pair of Rocktron Shortimers in place of the DM-2. DM-2s are stupid expensive.

Hey thats a cool ad to show the delay times.
Guess it wouldn't be that hard to make a graph with all latest and greatest delay based pedals included.

| A blast from the past. I'm going to frame it and hang it on my office wall, along with the other 70s- and 80s-vintage gear ads I already have up, all great gear I either loved and lost (i.e. foolishly sold off) or lusted after and could never afford. |

Yeah, you got the idea. I'm making a conscious effort to make my on-line language more polite. The admins on the Seymour Duncan forum asked everybody a while back to tone it down, and poo-poo caa-caa is my personal contribution to the effort.
All this talk about old Boss pedals got me stirred up - I just won a CE-2 on eBay. Paid more than I should have, but less than I could have, I suppose. No way I'm going after a DM-2, though. |
