Hello, I wonder if somebody have any experience of ME-6 pedal? I have been playing for over 10 years on a me-6. I have it in my pedalboard with other stomp pedals. Its no problem at all. Faltarn |

Hi faltarn
I have repaired a couple of ME-6 multi-effects. What sort of information-experience's were you after.
I have some inside pics, of the last one, & I have some repair notes that I made. But most of it is simple stuff... The last one I repaired was very old, probably from the first batch, as I remember, that my friend bought it the week-month that it was released out here, in Australia.

Hi Dr. Bob
I meant if you have any experience using me-6 with other stomp pedals? I have a created a good dist to my Maiden covers on the Me-6 and at the same time I use the effekts delay reverb and flanger to my SD-2, AC-2, CS-2. That make med get aucustic, crunch, overdive, and lead all in one unit. Faltarn. |

Hi faltarn Good idea with your setup, & the other external pedals. I can see you get a versatile set of sounds.
I have really only repaired a couple of ME-6's And was able to play with one for a bit, after it was repaired.

Hi, I've an old me-6 that I haven't used in years. Unfortunately I've lost the adaptor. I was wondering if anyone knew which Boss adaptor it takes. I've the psa 230 I use with my br-600, would that be of any use?
Cheers. |

The adapter that came with mine is the BRB-120. 12VAC at 1500mA |

Well, my old abandoned ME-6 was sent on to me by my mam today. I have a Mesa Boogie F-50 and I'm going to use the time based effects on the ME-6 through the amp's effect loop. In the link above the BRA 240 is shown. I think it's the european equivalent of the BRB and it was the original ME-6 adaptor. However, the one in the link is just rated at 9 watts and the unit takes 12. On recommended alternatives they mention the PSA 240, the adaptor I have, which again is 9 watts.
Edit: Just found out about boss switching from 12 volts to 9.

As laurie said you should find a 12vAC >1500mA. i think the one on the red dog site is 9vDC although they don't state which it is.
This adapter is 12vAC but only 500mA, thomann says it works for ME-6 so if it doesn't you can return it for free i'm sure.

| Nosi0, I really apreciate that link. Thanks very much, I was googling BRA 240 and just getting american sites. I've bought stuff from Thomann before too and I've had no problems. The BRA 230 on Thomannn meets the specs on the ME-6 manual. Thanks again. |

Well, got the adaptor from Thomann. Plugged in the unit and...it worked!
I knew there wouldn't be any problems but there was a nagging doubt considering the unit hadn't been used in ten years. All my old settings present and correct too. |
