Just scored a BCB-6 in prime shape with adapter, cables, and foam bed for $100.00 on our local Craigslist. Just an average deal, but the guy threw in an ODR-1, a CS-9, and nicely modded MIT SD-1 because he didn't want 'em anymore! Jiminy! Good deal to Great Deal!
Question to The Powers: where might one obtain the foam inserts Boss uses for the bed? I think it's a high density ester foam with a nice hand, and I'd like to fabricate some of my own inserts for different pedal combinations.
Any links, directions, or advice would be aces. Thanks in advance. |

| Are you talking about BCB-6 or BCB-60? The six I think uses an eggshell type foam. The sixty uses a straight surface foam. Either of which could be found in a hardware store, mega super store (walmart) or maybe even a postal service office. Either way best of luck to your custom pedal board ideas. |

Thanks Right Foot Boss, I wrote 6, and I totally meant 60. I could laminate some 1/4" stock sheet for thickness, but thought I would try here first to see if the actual blanks were available somewhere. Thanks for the quick reply and good advice.
And I guess good foam here might be: ! |

The foam is easily available.
It's also the same stuff that camping sit-mats, or roll-mats, are made from... and they are just a few quid from any outdoor shop.
Just cut them to the size you need. |

Now I'm an expert on foam. Thanks for the suggestions but,
the same stuff that camping sit-mats, or roll-mats, are made from... and they are just a few quid from any outdoor shop.
and...
found in a hardware store, mega super store (walmart) or maybe even a postal service office.
are examples of closed cell polyurethane; not the same stuff but perhaps an option if I can't locate the goods. I think a handy analogue is the anti-stat protective manufacturers use to ship op-amps, or the protective lining used in packaging sensitive measuring instruments. No pink, no bright blue, charcoal only. Entonces pues, open cell high density ester. If anybody has the hookup, thanks in advance.
Also thanks to you Dr. Bob for correcting the header. Back to the homework. Row! Backs in to it! For Sparta! |

From the Boss website FAQ. It's not real specific but apparently you can order these from Boss:
Question:
"Ive attempted to cut the blank holding pad included with the BCB-60 in order to install another pedal, but I made a mistake and cut it to the wrong size. Can I buy a replacement holding pad separately?"
Answer:
"Replacement holding pads are available for purchase as service parts. You can order them from a Roland or BOSS dealer."
