A 6x12 - man! that would really push some air.
You might have read, that I have a Fender 75,
it lives in 15W low power mode, (Vol 2.5 to 3) at most gigs.
As a 1x12 wide panel combo - It's a true sound pressure beast.
Sometimes when I feel a little crazy, & need to "rip it up" a bit,
I run it into a Cerwin Vega 4x12, or a custom built 4x10.  
I can only imagine how much air that thing would push.

I used to see the odd quad reverb around town for sale..you don't see many silverfaced fenders for sale anymore in dublin and when they do come up their big money....i use as one half of my stereo setup,a Musicman 130 watt 2x12 ...(a bit like a twin reverb)another one of Leo's inventions after he left Fender inc..... i think Fender and Musicman really designed these type of amps for country guitarists and pedal steel players who need massive clean headroom for the type of stuuf they do...also PA systems back in the 70's were nowhere as good as they are now so all a lot of guys had was their backline to be heard..... |
