I spend quite a bit on mostly music gear but have other hobbies as well.
Recently picked up a GT-10, ME-70, & an L2 bag & that's just Boss.
Then I got a new custom Walking Stick ribbon-controller for my synth & a Sonuus G2M (guitar to MIDI converter) on its way & a couple months ago a new Egnater Rebel 20.
That's just the music stuff in the last 3 weeks. I've blown about $4K on a new pool table & accessories in the last month or so.
A few months before that I bought a rack-stand & two new MoogerFoogers, the MF-101 Filter & MF-103 Phaser.
A Korg microXL is on the short-list as is a Fulltone TTE, Turbo tuner, VOX NightTrain, & a few mics, namely the Neumann U87, an AKG 414 & a couple Shure SM57s. The long list is a TC Electronic G-System.. I'm hoping they come out with a G2 with some OD/Dist. |

Hi DeFrag
Apologies if I am going to put you on the spot here.
Man you have some really great gear.....
When are we going to hear some demos from all this collection? I know, I for one am waiting with baited breath. I really want to hear all the Moog Fogger gear in action. ---
A little birdie has told me that Goran & Son, are about to release another Pogonophobia album. And from what I hear it's a good one...
The little birdie showed me the cover art....

---------------------------- Hi Leeroyfunk, The IIIs are really cool units. I don't know that they are worth what some/most of them are going for though. I was way lucky and found mine for $25. ---------------------------- Hi DeFrag, Do you like your Egnater??? ----------------------------

Well, I've been out work now for about 7 weeks so I'm having to curb my spending, but so far this year I've bought:
Boss OD-1(black label) Boss CE-5(pink label; analog) Boss DM-2(green label? bought from kittenface; sweet delay pedal) Boss SD-2 Boss OC-2(Octaver, black label)
Also designed and had built a custom pedalboard; we're working the bugs out of it now.
That's all I can think of for now...bought a few various guitar parts; new bridges, new vibrato arm and some Bigsby springs, but that's all I can recall. |

Its extremely versatile & I love it. I wish I could fit another couple of amphead switches so I could run it into an open-backed cab in addition to the closed Mesa 2x12 to let it breathe though.
Bob: I actually collect more than I play.. partly because my son can use everything I have in his pursuits toward rock stardom. Its hard for me to find the motivation to progress when I have so many other interests. For instance, I'm behind on my beer-making & must brew today or I'll run out. I'm quite sure it sounds blasphemous to have all this gear around & not use it to its full potential. I'll try to get a round tuit. At the moment, I'm having trouble recording with my Rode NT4 stereo mic that I must get sorted. My Vista box acts a little flaky with the 1394 from the TC Electronic 24D interface & I have yet to start using Reaper. Life is so busy.. I starve myself at work trying to lose weight & pig when I get home & am in no shape to play. Its a vicious circle & trying to keep up with pool, astronomy, quadding, & raising my 3 boys I apologize. One of these days I'll catch up with it all & you'll be the 1st to hear. Suffice it to say that Moog's MF line is very much worth the $. |

Had a bit of a GASSY start to the year but easing off now...
So far, I think:
Gibson ES335 (Cherry) Taylor 114 acoustic (for my daughter) Couple of mic stands & POD stands to tidy up the studio DD-7 RV-5 (compo win) DSD-2 FBM-1 FDR-1 PS-3 DOD 240 resistance mixer (urgent buy for a gig as our drummer unexpectedly added more mics to his kit and we ran out of mixer channels! Didn't need it in the end but a useful piece of kit anyway) RAK Super Overdrive SOD-3 (very underrated pedal imho) RAK Flanger FG-1 (very odd flanger pedal imho)
and, probably some other things that I've hidden from Mrs The_Doc and forgotten about |

I had to put the brakes on the G.A.S. for a while....there is a 80's 1x12 Roland bolt 60 amp(the one with the valve output section) on our local gumtree site for 150....... but i just can't justify another amp at the moment.... i need to get the acoustic sorted out pickup wise......
Q/ anyone come across the Dean Markley trilogy pickup set for acoustic..it's on gumtree for 100..... i heard it eats batteries....

I am completely trumped this month Managed to find a cheap GT-8 and DD-20, plus a few fixer-upper pedals (PQ-4, FZ-2, DD-2).
Congrats to everyone on some fantastic purchases! |

I buy and buy everything I can find for a good price (that's a DM-3, CE-2 (ss), CS-2, PSM-5, SD-1, DS-1 (long-dash), CS-1) but they're all in the "overstock" and not part of my collection yet. I've brought home a 3x8/1x12 vintage PA cabinet, and a 2x12 ACETONE cab as well.
Again, is there really a recession?? |
