i wonder if the switches are reliced also ...my brother has a few of them and the switches work about as well as a limp pecker! ...killer pedal though...mandatory for bass players in my opinion |

Hopefully this is the straw that breaks the back of the camel that is carrying the relic trend... |

| I think if they price it right then it will sell but I suspect they will want some rediculous amount of $$$$ for it which will just turn people of buying relic gear from manufacturers. |

What the hell has the "reknowned artist" been doing - hammering in nails? My 10 year old GT-2 doesn't have a chip off of it.
Edit: Sorry, 12 year old |

Hi pedals 4 pv (Jake)
Off topic. Man! I really do like your new Avatar.
Hi redundant Like your GT-2, mine came from a working-touring muso, It's old and smells of stale smoke, but has only one little chip, one one corner.
I guess some people care a lot less than others.
Would I buy this kind of New-relic? Simple answer NO!
It would be interesting to hear-know, how many of these get sold?
Regards Dr. Bob

Pay less for a "non-relic" model, throw it against a brick wall for about a half an hour and it'll look the same.
PT Barnum nailed it: "A fool and his money are soon parted..." |

| I don't get ANY of the relic stuff, whats next? I see amps with torn, faded, tolex, grill cloth that smells like cigarettes already, maybe a caster missing. Dumb, dumb, dumb. |

+1 to Brutalitarian for the switch comment. Notoriously unreliable.
I saw a TV special about vintage guitars, and a guy who works in the Fender custom shop revealed that it takes 2 hours to relic a guitar.. I know they don't cost (much?) more than the closet classic/NOS versions, but that seems like not a whole lot of labour to me..
The whole relic thing puzzles me as well.. Why not buy something beat up and old (not nearly as expensive as clean/mint vintage gear).. still possible with 70s strats/teles and the same era Gibsons.

Only problem there is a lot of 70s era Fenders and Gibson are in the POS category, and not worth big coin IMO. That can also be said of paying such a high premium for an artificially relic-ed guitar.
It's funny though: Most of the time you see a relic guitar(no matter the brand) for sale and they ship 'em from the factory in a case that looks brand new! Why don't they go to the trouble to trash the case too? Because after all, everybody knows that most of the time the case takes the brunt of the action with most gigging guitars! |

Great pedals, but I wouldn't buy it in this state. I'd toss it away and buy a new one, this one is long overdue. |
