It is a Japanese one, and you may wonder why the hell I would like to change this pedal.
Well it could do with a tiny bit more bass, mainly on the second Octave down.
Now could you just tweak a trimpot to do this or does it require soldering and changing components? Since I do not really know much about electronics I do not feel like changing parts in the pedal, however if it would be just a case of tweaking a screw than I may be able to this myself.
So any of you modders, could some of you describe me how to go about this. You may have to tell me what to look for when you open the pedal, as I do not really know what to look for in the first place. Have not opened up anything and will not do so untill anyone of you says: "Alright, well this is how you can go about it................."
Thanks. |

I don't think there are any trimpots in the OC-2 so you will have to replace some parts to increase the bass response. There's an opamp for each frequency (direct, 1st oct, 2nd oct). I'm sure it's possible to change the frequency response of the 2nd octave opamp but it would be a bit of trial and error to get it right (because I would never be able to get the math right) |

Okay I may just have to accept in this case that the pedal sounds the way it does, as with modding you may change the whole character of teh pedal too much.
Really just bought the Jap. OC-2 for the comparision, so in time I will accept it as the way it sounds.
Thanks |

If you got me a copy of the schematic I'm sure that I could figure it out. |

Thanks Walrus,
Well in this case may be better to sent the pedal to you so you could do the job if you wanted to.
Have not given it too much thought yet, but it may be an idea, who knows? Shipping is just a case which would make it a lot more expansive. |
