| Have the opportunity to pick up a CE-2 Taiwan with Green Label for $60 US. Is this a decent deal? |

IMO a little expensive unless it's got the box and manual. Then, maybe 60 is good, possibly worth 70 if in good shape.
Is it local or an internet purchase? If local, offer 50 and see what happens... |

| They go for around £40+ over here ($75 or so), and there's not much in the way of difference between the Japanese and Taiwanese ones. Get the lowest price you can and enjoy the sound! |

Hi jamo71
Sounds an ok deal to me.
They sell sell for over $100au out here, and typically heve been selling for $120 to $212, plus postage recently on evilBay.

| Thanks All! I went to look at it and it was pretty beat up. The store would not budge on price, so I passed. I appreciate the info! |

| Too bad. I'd probably pay mightily for one in good condition. |

Just curious, I have a green label, made in Japan CE-2 that I got in the 10th grade, oh . . . about 20 years ago. Still got the original box and manual. It's not mint; probably has the typical amount of bedroom rocker wear and tear. What's something like this worth? I'll never part with it (again . . . last year I sold it to a guy for $50 ; he has since given it back to me for nothing . Won't make that mistake again!) |

Without seeing it, I would assume you could get that again and probably some more. Or, you could always rent it out for $50 a year again!

hehe, i think i know what store that was at... if the knob covers were screwed up, it's probably the same one.
i've had 5 CE-2's... and as for the price, my experiences say you can find them for cheaper, but it may take a very long wait... like very long.
if you want to get it to resell it it's probably not going to turn much... but if it sounds good and you want to play it, it's probably worth jumping on unless you are willing to exercise extreme patience. |
