I love my DD-3, best bang-for-the-buck delay on the market for years and years. But, I like to have two different delays on my pedalboard, to reduce the amount of knob-twiddling. I usually leave on set for a single slapback, then use the other for longer echos and rhythmic stuff.
So, I need another delay. Another DD-3 would handle the basics, but I have a line on a used DD-7, obviously a more feature-rich pedal. Are the extra features worthwhile? I don't really need the extra delay time. I might use the analog setting, just to be different from my DD-3. Modulation? Not sure; I already have a CE-2 and BF-2 on the board.
What about the expression control? I have a busted Cry Baby around; it might be nice to be able to fade the level and/or feedback settings with a pedal. How well does the expression jack work on the DD-7?
What are the other pros and cons I should consider? |

I really rate it
all the delays are great, and the hold looper isnt bad for a few chords to solo over
I have a Ce-2 and I wasnt bothered by the modulation mode, but lately Ive been using it more and more, it sounds great and saves foot tapping.

| I was also interested in the modulation mode of the dd-7. Im thinking about selling my PH-3 and dd-6 to get the dd-7. |

| Speaking of analog, does anybody know if the dry path in the DD-7 is analog? I know the DD-3 has an analog dry path with just the repeats being A/D and D/A'd. |
