Hey guys. I just got a couple of pedals with velcro on the bottom. The thing is, I want to peel it off. Of course we all know what happens to the "ROLAND JAPAN" sticker that sits under the velcro... Has anyone found a method of removing velcro WITHOUT removing the precious Boss label???
Short answer is no, but if you find a way please let us know. I spent a whole day peeling away the velcro from my RV-5. I was lucky because it was mostly stuck on the edges but I'd be interested in hearing about any tricks you may figure out.
I always cover the label in masking tape before I apply any velcro - that way, when I remove the velcro, it will pull off the masking tape rather than the label. It won't help you now, though...
I've pulled velcro off several pedals recently without pulling the labels off. I just find a corner that will start and once I get enough of the velcro up to get a finger on the label, I continue to slowly work the velcro with one hand and hold the Boss label down with the other. I have not always been successful getting the serial number sticker separated from the removed velcro, though.
