I don't know of any women in the forum, but if you're here... feel free to cross the threshold. Here's a pic of my 10-space. Lot's of these are relics, but still hold value, one way or another.
And I just bridged from vintage, to relic, as fore-mentioned in another post. Let the onslaught begin.

I've always been tempted to go down the rack route, but still (somehow) prefer the simplicity of an amp and a few pedals. Although having said that, my amp is a Line6 Flextone that I edit patches with using my PC and gets controlled by midi.
Nice rack though. |

Hi the-destructor
When you die, you must Will your old Uncle Bob, your ADA MAP-1 Man I have been searching for one of these, & the foot switch/s, since Noah was in diapers.
Just for interest, I am currently rebuilding/repairing a Black Marshall 8008, just like the one in your picture.
What mode do you have it set to, on the rear panel, & does it make that much difference to the voicing. AS it's just altering some of the conditions around the Negative feedback loop.
Did your come with a user manual?, Not there is much to it. I got mine pre-smoked off evilBay.
There are NO (Zero) valves in the 8008 ValvState, contrary to the misnaming of this amp. I have the Schematic, if you need it in the future.
Nice rig by the way...
Regards Dr. Bob

1/Pod XT pro 2/ Dynacord CLS 22 rotary speaker simulator
i was running this into the front of the amp from the pedalboard, the pod has everything turned off except the reverb and some delay patches but it was colouring the sound too much.... the dynacord is in the pods stereo effects loop..it's a pity 'cause it was really handy for switching the dynacord in and out(dynacord is all analogue)...but i haven't given up....i'm looking for a rackmount reverb/delay with an effects loop and i plan on eventully going down the larry carlton/eric johnson route of miking the amp and running the rack in the efects loop of a small mixer into two powered speakers for stage so i would have stereo/mono/stereo backline and run the main outs over the our main P.A........i reckon i can pick up the mixer and speakers for less than 500 and maybe something like a Alesis quadraverb or one of the lower end Lexicons(MX40O etc) for around 150/200 secondhand in the small ad's.....i will probably leave the pod in the rack on a fender twin simulation in case my amp goes down during a gig.....i will also be able to run the acoustics/mandolin through this rig minus the guitar amp in the middle....
P.S. is the GSP 5 a harmonizer...?? and how well does it track...??

my... almost empty Rack...

its a UA 6176 (which I use mainly for recording... I've been thinking though lately that it might be cool to use the 1176LN section for guitar though) and a Behringer mic pre (which is not connected though) |

Howdy girls, nice racks so far!!!
Uncle Bob, will you the MP-1, eh. We'll see. I told you the adoption process would work to your benefit. I've seen them go on E-bay in the $200 range. As far as the "Valvestate" is concerned, I have it on the valvestate setting to get that tube sound . I hear hardly any difference between the valvestate & linear setting. I think the guts of that thing look similar to an electro-magnet I made as a child for science class, only on a much grander scale. I do have the owner's manual & would glady scan all 5 whopping pages for you if you'd care to have it (vast wealth of knowledge it contains). PM me if you'd care for it.
FRANZONI, Neither the GSP 5 or 7 have pitch shift, however the TSR-24 does. It does, I believe one octave up/down, 3rds, 5ths... It is a non-intelligent shifter & tracking is neither great nor bad. Does the Dynacord produce a fairly faithful Leslie sim????

I got the dynacord on the reports i got on the net(harmony central and some keyboard forums highly reconmmended it also gilmour used one for a while) and from some sound samples i heard on www.modezero.com i've never had or seen a real leslie up close so i'm not sure but i can tell you that i can get some of gilmours classic sounds from DSOTM..etc...the slow speed is to my ears, more like a uni-vibe than a straight chorus sound and the fast speed is very warm and analogue sounding....the only thing is the later model, the CLS 222 has a bypass function which mine doesn't..but i can switch the effects loop on and off so it's not a problem..also you can overdrive the preamp stage on it very easily so you have to be careful with the amount of signal to avoid clipping... but i like it and i reckon it's a keeper..if i can get the little rig i plan on building i would be interested to see what it sounds like in the aux returns on a desk being hit with a miked speaker off my guitar amp running in stereo..... |

| No pictures but I have an ADA MP-2 that I occasionally pull out. The ADA preamps are great. I highly recommend them. |

My only rack unit for guitar is an Alesis Quadraverb GT. Many years ago I had a Quadraverb GT, a Boss FC-50, and a 90's strat as my complete rig (played through the home-made monitors of a cheap PA). All long gone, but I'm on a mission to gradually rebuild that old rig-from-my-(not quite)-youth. I have the Quadraverb GT and FC-50 so far. Just waiting for the strat for the right price.

Hi Fabius
Nice little rig.
I have been chasing the Rocktron Piranha all tube 230+VAC, high voltage pre-amp, from that era. Not easy to find in Australia.
