I would be really interested to understand how they do this: "The WATTS control lets you dial the power from 20 watts to 1 watt for bandstand to bedroom volume.". I'm guessing someone here must know the general principle?
TD - don't knock Peavey!! I am only having to do about $200 worth of work (and about 5 hours effort) to make my classic 30 sound nice To be fair though, it WAS a bargain when I bought it.
Looks great.......i would imagine the power reduction is some sort of built in attenuator/power scaling like the guy in london amps uses...he has the kits for sale as far as i know to retro fit in existing amps....i have adapters for the power valves in my marshall superbass head that lets me use EL84's rather than EL34's.. at the moment i'm running four EL84's but i could use two of each if i wanted and i can't dial in one or the other like the Egnater.... the EL84's really do bring something different to the party,i find thay can be a bit tiring on the ears after a while, but they really do sing when pushed..it can also give an old amp like a marshall a new lease of life if your a bit tired of the original sound and are looking for something a little different.....
