Hi all
i got a serious bout of G.A.S. this week as a shop in town was having a massive sale on gear especially in the acoustic section... i ended up buying two new guitars... i got a walden G3000 solid wood guitar including a excellent hard case for 450 euro....kerching......!! and while i was there i also got a walden D 552 12 string guitar.... the only problem is i got the green light off mrs franzoni for the 6 string.....the 12 string is a little surprise..... the 12 string was only 150 euro so i couldn't really leave it behind......at least i'm well geared up to go busking after i get thrown out..... i got the whole lot including a good quality gig bag for the 12 string for 600 euro..i tried to get them to throw in a couple of sets of strings but at the price i got them for it was pushing it a bit....i gonna change them over the next few days and drop the action a tiny bit on both guitars but there pretty well set up as it is ......
These photos are from the walden website as i can't use to digital camara at the moment without giving the game away......... |

Seems we are in the same boat.
I bought another 20th anniversary Squire Strat in beautiful tobacco sunburst,
Same as my Blackie Strat,
No-one was bidding on her, so I put down one bid, and she was mine.
She has the most beautiful  grain lines.
Franzoni - Anyone? She is looking for a name, any suggestions?
Oh yeah, about the "same boat bit:, Mrs Dr. Bob is still none the wiser.
Now I just need to find my box of Hail Mary's.

clapton used to call his sunburst 'layla' strat 'Brownie'.... and since you already have 'Blackie'.....??.......i'll send you a PM and we can discuss how hard a park bench can get or how cold the garden shed is at 2.00 am......... i might freeze to death it's still very cold here but at least i don't have to worry about the spiders and snakes............ |

When I bought my acoustic 18 years ago, I considered installing a Fishman undersaddle pickup. Back then they were pretty well the best of only a few brands available. I checked out their site and they have quite a product line now, even pedals! Here's a link to their catalogue;

| I have a martin thinline pickup under the saddle of the ovation,so this time around i was playing with the idea of a soundhole pickup like one of their rare earth range ,they also do pickups for the 12 string...have you or any of the others any experience of soundhole pickups...? the reason is i have 'feedback buster'(the rubber soundhole plugs) for the ovation and a pickup would stop this from working..i'm not a big fan of them but the do work well in a live situation with a P.A... i've seen richard thompson use a sunrise pickup across the soundhole with no apparant problems..... they sound great too but i would imagine they cost mucho dinero......... |

Crap, I knew the "a" didn't look right so I even looked it up but in my haste had forgot to change it to the requisite "e". My preference is for Magnetic type pickups,
but I still like the sound of a properly EQ'ed Classic Fishman Piezo.
When Live, & doing an acoustic set, I use my old Dean Markley Pro-Mag
in-sound-hole pickup.
Sounds warmer, & loves the CE-2, PM me for my secret CE-2 Acoustic set - setting/s
Well that's my 10 cents for the day.

Thanks Doc.... i'll send one later..i wondering about the likes of dean markley and seymour duncans 'woody' for acoustic guitars as these pickups are fairly reasonable cost wise......
DeFrag.... i think the magnetic waves from all those guitars and amps you have aquired lately are starting to affect you bro'... .......... |
