what does electolytic capacitors on the feedback loop of any distortion does? functions?

what will happen if the capacitive value will be diminished?(for example, 1uF was changed to .68uF) what will be the effect?

particularly MT2

changing the cap from an electrolytic to metal film will effect the quality.
a few of popular mods are swapping the one for another, even retaining the value.

don't think i've seen a public mt-2 mod, so can't comment specifically
if yur refering to the cap leading into the clippers,
diminished values give you more treble past .01uf

so changing e-caps to film caps, reduces hum/hiss?

it basically effects the sound, more clarity

also describes changing caps,
i found the mt-2 too shrilly and gainy for my taste, guess thats why a few of the mods out there say it brings up the bottom end.
are you following the other thread about mt-2 gain?

my goal is to reduce the noise of mt2...

and i thought that, changing electrolytic caps into film caps may do that... is this true?
