Hi Witloofboer

The 117 gets used in various places.
Drum tracks - Bass tracks - but not often on vocals.

You mention that you have the manual, I have never seen any of the manuals of any of the 116-7-8 series.

Do you have a scanner, or is you manual in PDF?
It would be great to have a backup of the manual, for the archive.

I have a scanner I'll scan them as soon as possible. I guess you don't need the dutch version

I really like the General Guitar Gadgets Orange Squeezer kit I built. It's dead quiet with really nice squash. The compression isn't overpowering either.

I think Mark Knopfler used a Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer on 'Sultans of Swing'. I like his sound on that album. Does yours sound somewhere near his sound?

I've also heard that Knopfler used one. Although I'd never claim to sound like him, the GGG clone definitely get's me in the ballpark tone-wise. Plus, I really am impressed with how quiet this pedal is for a compressor. There's no hiss at all, even when cranking the gain.
