interesting........i remember hearing this on the radio when i was like 5 y/o...and have loved it ever since
is this delay effect (after the intro, when the rhythm guitar starts)
produced maybe with pedals or i was also thinking maybe since there are three guitarists, maybe they all three are playing just off from one another to produce the delay effect
my setup is guitar CS-3>CH-1>DD-7
i think i got it pretty down w/ my DD-7, w/ it set at 800ms and the delay time at about 11:00

Sounds like multiple guitars rather than delay.
If it is delay it's only a bit of slap-back. |

That's multiple guitars allright, it does sound cool.
3 guitars? Those guys were way ahead of their time long before Iron Maiden did that. |

Man does that bring back some memories...
From what I remember, just about every dance band tried to play this during some part of their evening jig.

ill record a snippet of what i played while i was trying to get the delay time down, etc....just like in my earlier post my setup was
guitar>CS-3>CH-1>DD-7
DD-7 set to 800ms setting w/ delay time at 11:00
feedback= 0
Effect Level = 3:00
the hardest thing i had to deal with and figure out was in keeping in time with the repeat to get it right
before you pick the next diad in the rhythm part, you have to wait till the repeat starts and hit the next diad just about at that moment
ill post an audio file later |

| What a cool song! And you did a really good job with the delay, the sounds are pretty close. |
