Sorry, but I am like a big sponge just trying to take all this in, or, like a kid in a candy shop wanting to taste everything...
Talking to a guy about a Carl Martin Crush Zone. Based on a few things found on the 'net it sounds cool - anyone have experience with this?
(Trust me folks, when I get settled in this I'll be a good source of R 'n D - it's what I do for a living!)

Thanks, p4pv - you're certainly my best friend here - but you're kind of a DIY guy aren't you? Anyway, I did go there and...amazingly, they think they're the greatest thing going ...much like how Woody Allen says the closest anyone gets to God is when they write their resume...just wondering if anyone has personal experience with this? |

| They have to fit a BCB-6 or I dont have much use for them unless it's a wah or volume pedal. |

I played with the hot drive N' boost pedal. That has to be the most tubesounding drive pedal ever. Plus pretty nifty that you can switch a second boost for leads and stuff.
I have to say, I used it in front of a clean Marshall superBass which off course is an all tube amp, it may not sound that good on a solidstate amp. |

I've only seen carl martin stuff in ads or on the 'net but it's supposed to be pretty good quality stuff..i especially like the 50 watt combo amp they brought out a couple of years ago but it's mucho dinero.....
don't mean to go too much off topic but if dirk reads this..what model superbass are you using bro'..? i have a mkII model but it is non master volume but has the rocker switchers and the metal panel... ..... |

my local music shop is pretty boutique, it stocks things like James Trussart rusty steelcasters and other wonderful guitars that get recommended in the more expensive guitar magazines (guitarist as opposed total guitar in the UK, for example). They have the entire range of Carl Martin, Roger Mayer etc pedals. Not a boss pedal or Fender strat in sight! I must say, the carl martin pedals are the best I've ever tried. On the plus side, they don't look as nice as the boss pedals I'm sorely tempted to get a Carl martin quattro, it's the most excellent basic multi effects unit, compressor, two channel overdrive, chorus, delay. All analogue and so on. Certainly wiped the floor with my boss ME-50, but of course, would cost twice as much. |

It's in our rehearsal space, so its not mine, but it's a mkII model, non master volume with rocker switches, so it's probably the same as yours. If still have to try it with a bassguitar, as it is essentially a bass amp (a little Lemmy/Motrhead anyone?). |
