| Hey everyone, i've just purchased the Boss DR-880 and love it, the drums are great and to my surprise so are the guitar settings. I want to have two outputs though, one for the drums and one for the guitar, is this possible? And if so, how? I've tried but no joy, at the minute both the drums and guitar are going through my guitar amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers! |

Hey man welcome to the forum
Never used one of those, but I think you can just use the seperate outputs on the rear marked A and B to split the rhythm from the guitar-
If you just use the normal outputs it will be a mixed signal ;) |

Hi slimjimmyg
Welcome to the forum from Australia. I'm not familiar with the 880, but I'm sure that there are other members here that may own & use one.

I have my DR880 set up so when you face the back of the machine, the two outputs to the far right are for drums and the middle two are for guitar. This is my backup plan if my guitar amp craps out on stage. I like to have both center outs for guitar so I don't have to remember which one to use.
To do this, hit the edit button then go to output settings. This is where you assign the outputs. I'm at work so I don't have the DR880 in front of me, but if you need more help post back and I could go into more detail at a later time. |

The other day I posted a song with the DR880 covering both drums and bass lines. I'll be posting more in the upcoming months.
If anyone wants to check it out go to www.myspace.com/crushedhead.
