Hi Dr Bob,

As far as I know the most direct way to get the image to display is to click on the "Insert an Image File" then choose the image then click the "Upload to <username's> post" - as you have to do regardless...

That will give all the extra code as well as the URL for the image. (the "Download Attachment" and size info etc)

Quickest way from this point is to just delete all text apart from the actual URL ("http://....image.jpg")

You can then highlight the URL and click on the "Insert Image" button above in the "Format" section.

This will automatically put the [ img ] and [ /img ] tags around the URL.

That's it, you're done from there.

I think that is the most direct way of getting it to display in the post.

But you did it in your last post! May have had a few extra steps involved though following the directions in my previous post. Sorry about that. This way (using the button) is the quickest I think.

Hi Stratman
Thanks for the support, I will try posting pics both ways.

I have been hugging all 4 of my CE-2's, this evening.
They said it's ok to put them into a Quad-Chorus setup,
in stead of the usual Tri-Chorus setup.

They all said to say "hi" to You & Stratosphere.

Thanks Dr Bob.

Glad they're ok with it all.

I'm waiting on my first CE-3 (MIJ). Should be here next week.

And further to StratoSphere's question, do you or StratoSphere have any of these? How do they compare in your opinion to the CE-2s?

Dr Bob,
Have you tried any other multiple pedal combinations?
Maybe two TW-1's, or two TR-2's?

I just wonder whether the sound is totally different than when using only one. Does it become fuller, or does it get out of synch leading to a jumble of noise? I mentioned TW-1's because the idea of having one set to 'up' and the other to 'down' is interesting - maybe it would result in no effect at all

Hi guirat
Sorry, but I don't own any TW-1's, or two TR-2's.
And setting up a couple of Multi effects, to do the same thing, is just a big pain in the butt, best left for rainy days.
It's an interesting experiment to try out thought.
Maybe on of the other collectors-users on this forum, could try it out for us.

Hi StratoSphere & Stratman
I am going to attempt to answer both of you questions in this one reply.

Stratman, the CE-3 is FIRSTLY a Stereo Chorus, and it is best used in that mode, you may be disappointed at fist with it running in MONO MODE.
In mono made it is VERY subtle, some like it that way, but it's so subtle that most people will ask themselves, why they ever bought one.

I Like subtle chorus.
I strongly suggest that you set it up in Stereo mode,
It will make you understand, what all the fuss & hype-rave is about.
Put your amps about 6 feet (2 meters) apart. Sit back & start grinning.

Ok now for StratoSphere
as you are aware I have 4 CE-2's, but I'm a bit of a Chorus collector,
I know your question was how many Boss Chorus's, but I'll list what I remember that I currently have.

4 Boss CE-2's.
1 Boss CE-3.
1 Boss CE-5 (The first issue not the later Digital one).
2 Ibanez BC10 Bass Chorus's (believe the hype, best on guitar).
1 Marshall SV-1 SuperVibe Chorus.
1 Arion SCH-1 Chorus (Very usable & sought after).
1 DOD FX-64 Ice Box (Second generation).
1 Rocktek CHR-01 (Cheap, but sounds great driven by an overdrive).
1 Line 6 Space Chorus (hard to get a go sound out of this in mono)
1 Livinstone-Daphon E10CH (Aldi's Daphon re-badged pedals).

And a couple of Flangers that can be setup to run like a chorus
1 Boss BF-2 (SS).
1 Boss HF-2 (nothing needs to be said about this pedal).

I hope that sort of answers you question StratoSphere
it not, it's 6 Boss Chorus's it total - 3 different model number-types

Thanks Dr Bob. Will try it out as soon as it arrives. Keep you posted.

And wow! What a lot of chorus pedals you have. What's your overall favourite?

Just wondering what you meant by this? Do you like it or not?

I love mine - much more that the BF-2.

Thanks again for your advice!

Hi Stratman
What I meant about the HF-2, is that you plug it in, stomp on it, turn the knobs, and it makes great sounds.
Almost any setting of the knobs sounds great.
Yes I really like my HF-2, but the BF-2 has that something, that's hard to describe, sometimes it just nails a certain sound.

Picking a favorite Chorus from my list, that's really a hard question
And being a father you know you have to try & love all your kids.
The CE-2's are at the pride of my collection
But I suppose the Arion SCH-1 - just does it a little better, The Arion has a tone control as well, & that tone know can make a huge difference.

Even the crappy Rocktek can sound great, but it excels when combined with an overdrive or distortion pedal.
It gets this wonderful phased overtone that I find difficult with the other chorus pedals, & I found it by a shear fluke, while playing around with it one day many years ago.

The Line 6 Space Chorus is currently, my pain in the butt pedal, it costs a freaking fortune when new,
It's a stereo pedal as well, I have spent long hours trying to get this to sound like the hype, but I just seem to be getting nowhere,
Till I remembered my advice to you & other about the CE-3,
"Try running it in stereo mode"
That's the next test I will be doing with it.

I went to the line 6 site & watched the Demo Video of the Space Chorus, & the demonstrator doesn't seem to do much of a convincing demonstration either.
But he is running it MONO mode as well.
I'll keep you informed.

The Space Chorus is a really BIG heavy pedal, kind of looks like & reminds me of the platform shoes, guys used to wear in the 70's.
And it could kill a raging bull elephant, if you thew it at one.

I guess you were really looking for a "Pedal A-B-C is my favorite"

Tone is such a subjective thing, as you are well aware.

Thanks Dr Bob. That was a great answer. Of course you couldn't pick one above all others! But you really narrowed it down to those few with their pros and cons. I'm loving choruses so I might start looking around for some of the others also.

And that's enough from me on highjacking this topic. Sorry everyone.
