Just going back to pedals4pv original question.... i was checking the b bender out as i'm leaning towards a bit of that country type thing to start mixing things up in my playing which would be more rock/blues with a small bit of jazz thrown in, it lokks like it can be installed in other types of guitars as well..i think it has been put into some musicman guitars as well as les pauls.....it was interesting to see that the fender put it in a tele with fairly similar pickup/switching arrangements as a strat....rather than a straight up vintage style tele.... i also found a link on youtube to a guy called tim wallis.... www.guitartim.com he is a player and it looks like he set up his own custom shop for guitars.... he has designed a bender that mightened be to everyones taste but it's very ingenious and the best thing i can see about it is anyone with very basic DIY skills should be able to fit it to a tele..being able to master it might be a bit harder as it would involve some people to change their way of holding the guitar.....i'm going to investigate it a bit further but were not a 'sit down' type of band...we still jump around a bit... i don't know if something like this would be practical for me to use gigging........

i just was i the middle of editing my reply.....i was watching tim use it live and he's sitting on a stool for the gig.... i might be interested in getting it for my squier tele as i don't use it much live and it might be fun to mess with....but i couldn't see myself using it live for a while.... less destruction to a guitar than a b bender to install and if you don't like it it's easy enough to rip out and go back...but like i said in my other post...we don't sit still much on a gig.............. i know what you mean lauries2 .... as we say in ireland tim's a bit of a 'character' to say the least...!!!................

It seems interesting to use, but would sound bad for people who jump around while playing. I already have a bad habit of pulling on the neck or pushing down hard to get better leverage while shredding.

I think these things are more popular with studio musicians than live bands. And in C&W there is a little less jumping around than in rock, because you have to make sure that your hat stays on.

I live in a place called Calgary - check out the "Calgary Stampede"... I am into rock/dance/trance and I'm surrounded by C&W!! Some days I wish their hats would strangle them Yippeee ki yay, mofo!!

EDIT: you know what, my post above was insensitive to those who love C&W music. It's not my cup of tea (at all) and I find myself immersed in it here in Calgary so I fight it a bit too hard.

pedals4pv - I offer you an unreserved apology

PS: the "Yippeee ki yay, mofo" line is a movie line quote (Bruce Willis in Die Hard). It was throw away - nothing in particular was meant by it.

I was born in Alberta and spend most of my life in Calgary, as did my son and daughter, who still lives there. I have competed in the Calgary Stampede. If you don't like Calgary, there are two options for you. Highway #1 or highway #2. I am sure the good people of Calgary would be happy to see you leave.

Your apology is accepted Lauries2. I can understand being in a strange land with strange customs, and I will agree that they can carry the cowboy thing a bit far, especially during Stampede week. It's funny to see everyone all decked out in hats and boots, when most don't know which end of the cow the turds come out of.
P.S. GO FLAMES GO!
