Has anybody played the "Line 6 Spider Valve HD100" head?
Any opinions about it?

I played one at a dealer and so far so good (I can't afford a Rectifier yet).
But what's about within the band context?
I heard rumors that the sound of the Line 6 solid state amps sometimes vanish when played in the band.

i use a PodXT Pro so can't be much help. Have you looked at

I liked the Line6 SpiderValve 2x12.. almost bought it.

Tried it at guitar center once blew me away

I got a line 6 spider 3 SS and its getting to sound thin

I bought the Spider Valve HD100 and I can asure you it doesn't sound thin at all. At least together with my 4x12 Marshall 1960/G12T-75.
