Hey, guys, any ideas what I just bought?
It was described simply as a modded OD-3 with a bright LED, great workmanship, "awesome" gain, and no harsh tone. I asked the seller for more details, but it was close to the end of auction and apparently he didn't get my e-mail in time to answer. For $45, I figured I'd take a chance that it might be a Monte Allums. Can anyone tell from the photo what might have been done to this pedal?

Yeah, I was the only bidder. I won it today, so it hasn't shipped yet. I'll be out of town for two-plus weeks, so I won't know how it sounds till I get home.
The seller bought it used at Sam Ash. He's never compared it with a stock OD-3 but says it has "a LOT of gain."
Hmm, we'll see how this turns out. I figure I can probably sell it for what I paid if I don't like it. Or I could always use it for trying other mods. |
