Hi all.

I have a DS1 with a little problem...

I use a 9V battery, and when the pedal is switched off, it does the bypass perfectly, but once i push the pedal, the red light is ok, but there's no sound coming form the unit.

Does anyone any idea to solve it?

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not an electronics wizard, but these things may help others.

Have you tested the pedal with a known good battery and/or with a power adapter?

Does the circuit board look burned/strange on some places? If so, pictures may help.

I can't test it with ac adaptor, but i'm sure that is not the problem. The board seems to be OK. No visual burns or damages.

Check first that there are no loose wires inside the pedal.

The switching operation is controlled by the FET transistors Q6, Q7 and Q8. Since bypass works fine, I assume Q8 is fine, which leaves Q6 and Q7 under suspicion.

If you have an oscilloscope or an audio probe available try to check if there is signal at C3 and R8 when the pedal is switched on while playing. Or if you have a replacement for Q6 and Q7 try to swap them and see if the problem persists. The FET type is 2SK30ATM.

Hi carlos1972

Welcome to the forum from Australia.
It sounds like you might be well under way to repair your DS-1.

Thanks all for your wellcome.

Q6 replaced, but it doesn´t still work. I'll try with Q7.

And what about level pot? It could be damaged?

Did you replaced it with the same type of transistor?

It is not likely that your level pot is damaged, i've never seen that before.
