Hi there, Is my first time posting here so I'd like to say HELLO to everybody and excuse my english!!
:)
I'm writing here because I bought a used PS-5 Super Shifter some days ago and I think there is something wrong with it.
When I'm in Pitch Shifter MODE, the tone created have a kind of "vibrato/tremolo" on it and moreover I could say it's a little but untune.
I tune my guitar I choose Pitch Shifter MODE I choose 1 octave in the Pitch control I mix my dry signal with the Pitch Shifter ... and I can feel both tones Dry and FX signals are not in the same tune... my dry signal is maybe a flat C and the FX signal is somewhere between C and C#... and moreover there is this small vibrato/tremolo.
If suddenly change to a Harmonizer MODE, the tone created is perfectly correct. ON TUNE and without any strange vibratos...
I don't really know if that's normal... but i don't think so.
Any thoughts ??

Hi Dao Welcome to the forum from Australia.
I'm not familiar with the PS-5 Super Shifter. But here are some of my thoughts on this matter. I do know that some of the newer digital pedals don't get on very well with, switching type power adapters. Or if they are connected to other digital pedals on the same daisy chain. The internal crystal locked (oscillators)-clocks for the digital processors, can sometime interact, & cause all sorts of strange problems, & tone artifacts in your signal.
Have you tried this pedal separately, & with a Known Good battery, & a brand name power adapter?
What type-brand of power adapter-supply are you using?
Regards Dr. Bob |

Hi Dr. Bob, Yea, I've tried the pedal separately with a brand new battery. It was a good known battery but I can try others.. I've also tried it with various "unknown" power adapters... any from Roland but I've never had any issues using them with other Boss pedals.
Could it be a "power adapter" problem which is affecting just the Pitch Shifter MODE... and not all the others???
