Hi MullyFX & guys

Simple answer is: No.

Longer answer is:
It uses the Mitsubishi M5207L01 Linear Control Dual VCA.
Controlled by an on board oscillator, with variable Rate-Depth & Wave Shape.
No Lamps.

The datasheet & Sch. are all online.

Regards Dr. Bob

I might be mistaken, but I think the Voodoo TREMOLO pedal is optical. They call it "tube-amp tremolo in a box", but it can't be a bias trem..

I don't know what controls the TR-2 and don't really care... it's a great pedal and a keeper on my board....even better than the tremolo in two of my amps....

I just got the Voodoo Labs Tremolo.... it is Lamp controlled and really nice. No ticking noise and really smooth or hard and stuttering... it's a big step up from my old PN-2 - it feels and sounds better imo.

didn't have a chance to hear the TR-2 yet though
