Hi FunkenGrooven
Which Video & which race?, it's a really big country. With many TV stations and state territories.
If you are you're to visit, PM me your email address, & I will send you an Aussie Citizenship test, to see how you rate.. It's not the real one, but it will teach you some real (strain) Okka & slang.
I Speak Strain mate.. (can you work that one out?)
We actually don't speak that way, it's just how movies seem to cast us.
We have a reserve near my home, about 15 mins away, & there are some wild kangaroos there, small one not the big red's that you typically see in documentary's.
IF you visit bring all your pedals to show me...
When I first saw our Member name, I though you were German
Hey Ronster, Whirly, Shake, Timbo & all you Aussie members, have you seen the mock up of the Australian Citizenship test. If not PM me, for a copy.. It's more accurate, & real, than the real one they just introduced.
Regards Dr. Bob |

Hi FunkenGrooven
The first video, is of a race they call the Bathhurst 1000 - yes 1000km. It's held in the New South Wales (NSW) township of Bathhurst. & it has a section of mountainous track & small hills. Simply just called "The Mountain"
Many people from all over Oz, travel & camp there, to be part of this race & it;s atmosphere.
They ran it just a few months ago, Because of the 1000km distance, this race is run all day from early in the morning, from mid to late afternoon.
Yes and if you're a fan, it's considered a a race that the whole country stops to watch. I know my diehard friends have all day BBQ's & elbow strengthening beer drinking sessions, while the race is on.
If you win - you can celebrate your teams win. But if your team looses, you can have a few drinks to commiserate your team loosing. So all in all - every one has a good time.
But I find it a a bit too long to watch these days, I guess, it's just age, but maybe it's because I have a truck load of boss & other gear to play with these days. AND YOU GUYS TO CHAT TO...
Regards Dr. Bob |
