Hey there,
Can anyone reccomend a good compression pedal? I was not crazy about the boss one. I am borrowing a NEW Mxr Dynacomp. I've seen that there is a vintage re-issue of this as well.
Who's got the best one? And has anybody heard the reissue dynacomp?

Hi Sparco
some people here didn't like the MXR either, they find it too squishy sounding...Goran swears by his route 66 overdrive/compressor twin pedal, and if you don't mind a long wait Analogmans Bi-Comprossor(not a spelling mistake based on the old ross compressor and the Dan Armstrong orange juice compressors) is supposed to be excellent... |

Hi Sparco
We had a thread running about this, a few months ago.
I will look for it later, Unless Bossarea, DeFrag, Laurie, or one of the other members beats me to it.
If I recall it was quite a long thread.
Regards Dr. Bob |

| The Maxon CP9 pro+ is really, really sweet sounding and nice, not to mention capable of a 30 db boost. Better than the boutique options I tried. Pricey though. |

| Which Boss model did you not like? I never really cared for the CS-2 or CS-3, but I actually like my old CS-1 for those rare moments I have a need for squeeze... |

| LM-2 is a good subtle compressor. I also have a Keeley 4-knob compressor and would recommend that too. |

Aphex Punch Factory (it's also a DI) Guyatone ST-2 An old script-logo Dyna Comp is an incredible thing. I haven't heard the reissue - but if it's as good as the script Phase90 reissue, then it'll probably be sweet.
The Diamond is VERY nice. no compromises. |

Do you use it in your pedalboard chain or as microphone compressor?
I bought it last friday. It was cheap and the owner had an original manual + copy with dutch translation. |
