Sounds good to me.
He must've been thinkin' "Oh my god, Steve Vai's got a signature pedal, I better get one too" |

Hi Guys
When Joe was out here last I caught up with him back stage at the Enmore....We talked for about 1/2 an hour about pedals.....He's really into pedal design and seemed heavily involved in the making of the Satchurator.....So heavily involved that he got 2 modded pedals from me, my DS-1 & MT-2.........I get the feeling that we might be seeing a Satchurator Mark II soon. |

| That guy from Guitar World is a very good guitarist and he tends to make a lot of stuff sound good. As for the pedal, it was okay but certainly not something I would get. |

Vox Satchurator hasnt got nothing with DS-1 and MT2,as far as I know. This pedal is very close clone of T.C. Jaureing Gristle King, which is a 4558 dual opamp based overdrive with 1 tranzistor booster. |

Do you know anymore about the guts of these? Or perhaps you have seen internal pics?
I have been a bit disappointed, with the so far negative comments, about this pedal. Or is it that some of use are just too entrenched in the Boss brand.
The price point of $129us Rec. Retail is just too good to pass up, not to mention, that it cost effectively adds to your sonic arsenal.
I believe that VON, has a pretty good ear for tone, & subtle differences in distortion types. So I wasn't surprised that he had some positive comments about it, after his backstage chat with Joe.
I know I will be seeking one out for my collection, the Satch name not withstanding.
Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Guys
After talkin' to Joe and various other guitarist that have rocked through town lately....( Metal Mike, Jean-Francois Dagenais, Emppu Vuorinen ) Ive found that most of them use TS-9 type pedals through Hi Gain amps ( Mesa, Marshall etc. )...the pedal is just used to color the sound a little or boost their solos...........Most of them complained that their pedals were noisy.
Few pedals will turn a totally clean sound into a full on metal assault.
