As Im not looking at E-bay etc very often I have no idea of the prices of the rarer Boss pedals, does anybody have a clue what the prices for SP-1, SG-1 and VB-2 are these days?
And for the less expensive as OD-1, PH-1 etc?
Are there any tendencies overall?
Are there signs of any new rare pedals, I for one is expecting EH-2 to rise in price.

I still browse a lot of Ebay auctions but I haven't bought anything for a while so I may not be paying too much attention to the prices anymore. My impression is that the rare pedals (SP-1, VB-2, SG-1) are going for the same amount they went for a year ago while the next ones down (DM-2, PN-2, PQ-4 etc) has gone up quite a bit. I've seen CE-2s go for as much as $150 lately which surprised me. Up until now, the CE-3 has been availble for peanuts but lately I've seen them going for prices approaching $100.

To some extent, I think the "word is out" about the CE-2.

On the other hand, a year or so ago people were flipping MIJ DS-1s for about $150, and now they're down again...

I've been watching and listing prices (ebay - specifically UK) for the past few months to help me whilst I build my collection.

I've not gone into treating MIJ and MIT individually (or boxed/unboxed), but I've calculated averages to know if I'm over-spending. I don't mind spending out a bit if they don't appear very often, or the condition is good and there's a box!

My current averages for the pedals mentioned above look like this:

SP-1 - 229.78
SG-1 - 140.25
VB-2 - 160.26
PQ-4 - 62.72
DM-2 - 110.57
PN-2 - 99.94
OD-1 - 68.43
PH-1 - 81.17
CE-2 - 61.81
EH-2 - 39.78

I was actually thinking of starting a topic "What are the most sought after/ most rare/ most valuable Boss pedals?", but maybe I can just append it here.
I ask because I do a heck of a lot of searching around and come across so much stuff but, being a newB, it may not interest me, or I may not know what it does, how rare it is etc., and I would love to pass the info along to others, at the very least...
(right now, for example,I am seeing these things for sale: PW-10, MT-2, GEB-7, OD-3, MD-2, SD-2,a T-Wah, DD-2, DD-3...)but don;t know what's what!

The trick is to watch E-bay for low priced buy it now deals. There's been a mint, in box CE-2 on E-bay UK today for 40 - well under the average auction price.

I have to say that the CE-2 is the one that's increased the most over the last year or so; when I bought mine 30 was top whack - now they seem to be going for 60-80, especially if they're the notionally better Japanese models.

PH-1's and PH-1R's come in at about 50 in the UK (and so they should) but you can find PH-2's for less than 30.

1.VB-2
2.SP-1
3.SG-1
4.PS-3
5.CE-2
6.DM-2
7.DD-2
8.RC-2
9.DC-2
10.MIJ DS-1

thats my opinion. i would actually say that 1 and 2 are tied for first. like i stated before, the SD-2 and GE-6 SHOULD be at the top of that list.
not to mention OD-1

Ehhh........you mean to say that you like the SD-2, GE-6 and OD-1 a lot??? Okay, I agree, but I guess we all knew this eh

Or do you mean that the three pedals mentioned above are really rare and expansive??

VB-1 comes around a lot less than SP-1, that's for sure..

Up there would be the oldest 14-pin Raytheon chipped OD-1. I recall seeing one go on ebay (beat up too..) for over $300..

Does RC-2 count as rare since it's still in production??

I only own half the list! And none of the top 4! This is a problem..

Is the TW-1 no longer collectible? i got two during the '90s when lots of House music was using T-Wahs to funk up their bass lines and sometimes even their guitars (usually just chopped up samples though ). What's the difference in price on a Touch Wah as opposed to the T-Wah?
