Does anyone know how I can date an Roland Amp? Specifically a Jazz Chorus...

Not really. I had to replace the volume pot in mine and called up Roland to make sure I got the correct part. The engineer then told me that the circuit had been revised several times and from how I described my JC-120 he estimated it was from around 77-78. Matching your amp to a schematic may be a good idea. Freeinfosociety has a JC-120/JC-160 schematic but it's unfortunately not dated.

What about pot and transformer codes? Usually the last 4 digits on a transformer or pot code will correspond with the year and week it was made. Eg 7713 would be the 13th week of 1977. This method doesn't accurately date the amp but it gives a good indication.
