I found an oc-2 for $25 and I might get it but, I was looking into the oc-3 first. Since it can do more with the built in drive and poly modes plus it has an oc-2 sim on it. Should I get the oc-2 or wait for the oc-3 when I have more cash?

both!

start with the OC-2 while its still available. It's really good on its own, even without the chord feature

I had both at one time and actually got rid of the OC-3 for the OC-2. The drive mode on the OC-3 is nice, but the poly mode is deceiving. Can it handle chords? Yes, but with limits; you only get a certain range and it struggled with anything more than power chords for me. However, a BIG plus about the poly mode is that you get excellent tracking results for single note riffs and whatnot, but even with the range maxed out not all of your notes will be effected. For $25 you definitely can't go wrong with the OC-2, you'll be able to recoup that money if you opt for the OC-3 someday. Play an OC-3 and see how you like it...the extra options are nice but I just opted for simplicity. Used OC-3's go pretty cheap sometimes too...I got mine virtually brand new in its box for $50. I definitely wouldn't pass up the OC-2 for $25 though, I've been really happy with mine.

i would buy it immediately if i could for $25. the OC-2 satisfies me 100% for all my octave needs. i find the tracking to always be perfect unless you accidentally hit two notes at once or let two notes ring together. the OC-3 has cool features too but to me, what more could i want from an octaver than what the OC-2 offers

Well I went ahead and got the oc-2, then found out it is a MIJ the number on the inside says it's from 1985. So far my best deal on a boss pedal $25 for MIJ oc-2 . Thanks for the advice guys
