I haven't tried that exact model but I really like the Marshall pedals. They aren't as clear [sometimes] as Boss pedals but they have their own characteristics that sound good.
Hi lauries2 Congrats... looks nothing like a D&G wrist watch though.
I have the Super Chorus, or whatever they call it, it has variable wave shape on the clock that drives the BBD.
I would be interested to know about the Compressor, & how it compares to the CS-2 from Boss, or in your case the Modded CS-3 that you just completed working on?
Sound of the RG-1 is not too bad. Nothing "special" but it does what it does well. I'm looking forward to getting the CE-5 next week and I'll let you know what the difference is. The RG-1 is "better" than my CH-1...
The compressor (ED-1) is a completely different animal to the CS-3. Out of the box the ED-1 is very usable and it adds just a little nice colour - I'd say a little bass emphasis and a little overdrive. All in all I like it a lot. The CS-3 is the pedal that stays in my chain, however, because it is now completely transparent and I prefer that - can't hear any colour when it's there, but you know when it's gone.
PS: it is indeed a Tas Devil mousepad... good eyes!
