Sir... is there any substitute 4 the psa adaptor? Coz I accidentally plug my Psa-120 over a 220volts outlet. Can i use the aca adaptor over my PSM-5 that powers up my bcb-6? I tried many local regulated 9 volts 200Ma adaptors yet it still produce some levels of humming noise... From w/c is not evident when I use my PSA before it got busted. coz the only locally available boss adaptors here were ACA's. Coz here in the Philippines musical instruments, effects etc. were either very limited or very expensive. is there any other brand that can replace my burnt psa adaptor? can I build a clone or is there any way to repair my psa? Any suggestion would be a great help... thanks...

Danelectro has a very good substitute power supply that is half the price of the Boss adapter. Here in LA they cost $10 compared to $22 for the Boss PSA. They are nearly exactly the same, but I prefer the Danelectro.

Open up the PSA adapter and see if the fuse is broken. Easy fix if it is.

For 20 years I've used a 2A Mascot supply. No hum and enough current to drive whatever I throw at it.

Sad to say we dont have a Danelectro distributor here. As I have said earlier it sure is a pain in the behind if ur a musician out here. so very few and limited stocks yet so very expensive... BTW can I use the ACA to replace my PSA to power up my PSM-5? Coz theyre selling it for around $15.00 seems reasonable enough but I dont know if it's gonna work like the PSA series woithout some humming noise.

Can't say for sure if the ACA wil do the job or not. I've never tried one so I don't know how good the filtering is.

If you add some pedals to the chain that draws a lot of current you may find that the voltage drops and thepedals aren't working as well as they would under 9V.
