| It's the success a few modern bands that use this pedal, the ability to connect an external tap tempo and the rarity of a discontinued pedal that is sending the prices up on these. I predicted this the year the DD-6 came out though, and tried to snag me a 2nd DD-5, but for $75 at the time I decided otherwise, probably kicking myself now. |

The Canadian street price was $320 new..
The Marshall echohead has the external-tap feature..but it's no Boss. |

Hi Guys
Perhaps the bidders misread the Ad, & thought it was a vintage DD-2?
Regards Dr. Bob |

The DD-2 and DD-3 were analogue/digital processors, though... the delay signal was generated digitally, but the original signal had an analogue signal path.

Not sure about the DD-5, mind you. |

but still what comes out is digital so its digital!
imo...though to me analog or digital, doesn't matter as long as it sounds good!!!

| talk to anyone and all they'll tell you is how amazing the tap tempo is when they're playing live with their band...which is understandable i guess but i don't know that it's worth that much...esp. when most other delay units cna do the same also... |

I have been looking for a while and always miss the good deals. When I had seen the somebody said the echohead has external tap jack out I looked it up but it's not worth, $129. I'd rather wait for a Boss at that price. |

| I haven't got as far in my pedal investigations a echo/delay - so let me get this straight - are you saying if I can find a DD-5 for $75 I should jump at it? |

Oh yes: I know the US is cheaper than the UK, but i haven't seen a DD-5 for under 60/$120 for a while now - $75 seems like a good deal if it's in reasonable condition. The reason the DD-5 is way better than the DD-6 is the external tap tempo jack, that "hold down for three seconds" thing on the newer DD-6 is rubbish, and the DD-6 is probably at least $100 on average. |

I love my DD-5. Its reverse could actually be useful but its a great pedal nevertheless. 700 posts! Catchin' up to Franzoni! |

I like the panning out feature, mode 7. You can put your TR-2 behind the DD-5 and with the feedback and delay set to min you can get a panning tremolo effect that bounces from amp to amp, similar to the PN-2 panning effect |

| I received mine yesterday. I got it for $99. I thought it was messed up but I had the cable in Ouput B, but it sounds awesome like that. I need to go get a FS-5U, because that's the whole purpose of the DD-5. |
