I searched and got a lot of results, just not the one I need. LOL

Can you use a standard 12v power adapter on the older ACA pedals? I know the old ACA adapter was 12v unregulated. Just wondering what is a good replacement if I'm not running these older pedals daisy chained with PSA adapter.

If it was me and an ACA adapter simply wasn't available... I'd use a 9V unregulated adapter (taking great care to ensure the polarity is correct )

Hi primerib
Welcome to the forum from Australia.

The guys are correct
- always double check the polarity on any 3rd party adapter.

Please also measure the unloaded voltage on the adapter you are going to use.
Some 12VDC adapters are as high as 18VDC, & have very small filter capacitors in them.

I recommend an absolute minimum cap of 1000uf,
& it's heaps better if it has a 2200uf-3300uf in there.

You could always replace the filter cap, if you are handy with a soldering iron.
It's probably best to get one that is screwed together,
& can be opened to service it, rather than the more common glued or ultrasonically welded, unserviceable types.

Good luck
Regards Dr. Bob
