Does the effect turn on and off when you release the pedal and not hold it ?

If so so I think you are very lucky to have a very early NF-1. Whats the serialnumber ?

Here's some info on the 'temporary led' http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4233

G'day x11010 and welcome!

Not sure i understand... Is it an actual vintage Boss pedal, or something you have built yourself?

Hi Guys

Sounds a lot like it's a "Momentary LED" circuit one.

If there's a problem with the slip-flop circuit, it could turn off immediately when the switch is released.
It should however work while the LED is on so it might be something else completely.

to bossarea: but the effect wouldnt turn on even when i push the switch, but the LED is on the moment i push the switch...could the problem on the flipflop circuit affect the effect from turning on???(sorry for the english )

to Laurie: i built this NF-1...

to Dr.Bob: did the early NF-1 have this "Momentary LED" circuit?could i replace it with a permanent LED circuit?

We'd have to know what circuit you built. And how you built it. Maybe some pics?
