Hi FRANZONI & Guys

How do you tell-know if it's a MIJ Silver series?

Do the strings on your Squire Tele. go through the body?
It's hard to tell from the picture.

Regards Dr. Bob

It has a small MIJ on the headstock as well as a small 'silver series' logo on the very top of the headstock...it also has a really nice grain running through the maple neck...much nicer than my jap and american strats.... all in all a really nice tele...the strings don't run through the body...i had thought of getting a vintage style bridge plate and the string ferrules and drilling out the body the same as a real tele...thats the only thing that annoys me about squier teles...why doesn't fender drill out the body....
they go to all the trouble of routing out the squier strats the same as the real ones for the tremolo block which must be a lot harder to do even with all the automatic technology thay have now.....i reckon drilling out the tele for the strings wouldn't be that hard.....

Hi FRANZONI

Any chance of getting a closeup pic of the headstock showing those things?

Hi Franzoni

Nice, the flash washed out the pic on the headstock a bit.

Are those the original machine-heads with micro tuners, or did you re-fir them?
No hardwood skunk strip on the neck?

I notice you covered the chip on the upper part of the guitar, with the strap - LHS of your picture.

Can you take another clearer pic of the headstock, maybe without the flash, & upload it. or PM me.

Regards Dr. Bob

Yep shouldn't be a problem..it was late and i was a bit tired also the camera is still acting up a bit..i'll try again later,if you look carefully you can make out the silver series logo on the top of the headstock..as far as i know this series was only made in japan..it does have a skunk strip down the back of the neck and the tuners were replaced by me with sperzels locking tuners because i bend strings behind the nut sometimes.... the strap covering the chip on the body wasn't intentional...i put a strap my mother made for me when i was younger on this guitar.... she also made a matching cover for my musicman amp..i must see if it's still in her house somewhere....

hehe.... here's the website.

http://www.emerysound.com/

Curt is a cool guy and the amp is amazing. I'm not too convinced by the speaker (it still looks amazing though) but I like it better when it's conected to the 4x12 cabinet underneath.

You can exchange tubes (you can order a mad scientist tube set as well - which is fun) and 1watt is far more than you can use in an apartment.
