Hi DeFrag
Nice looking pickup design.
Great tone & very versatile, watch the demo video for the sound demos?

Hey Defrag, they look excellent. However, the two wiring diagrams for standard 2 pickups, 2 tones, 2 volumes suggests that you have to choose what tones you want. http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2_prails_2v_2t_3w_2pp
I prefer this one. http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2_prails_2v_2t_tspp
However, If you have effectively 4 different sounds for each pickup (rail single coil, P90, higher output series humbucker and PAF-y parallel humbucker) then with only 2 push pull pots you will only get 4 combinations, so you will only get that degree of control over both pickups combined. I would imagine if you wanted to be able to choose between 4 different sounds on each pickup and mix and match for the middle position (say, bridge humbucker and neck single coil) or of course use a single coil in the neck for rhythm and a humbucker in the Bridge for lead then you would need 4 push pull pots. Either way, I want these pickups! I've been thinking about upgrading the stock p-ups on my PRS Tremonti SE (a nice enough guitar to keep, but not so nice that I don't want to tinker with it ) and these look ideal. Any idea on the price yet? |
