Just wondering what the other grommet you found is, and where might we be able to get some ourselves. Thanks! |

Hey Guys, Just got off the phone with Roland and the screws are $4.20 a piece. So I ordered up a few extra to have on hand.
As for the grommets, they wanted $5 a piece and they are on order? The grommets I found at an Ace Hardware Store are a little thicker and fit more snug and only cost $.72 a piece. They also make the pedal quieter when engaging and disengaging which I like. I actually put them in new pedals and save the old one in the box to keep with it for original value.
Outer diameter is 1/2" and inner diameter is right around 1/4". (Probably 5/16" like pedals 4 pv said) These aren't shiny like the stock ones, but they match the rest of the rubber parts on your pedal.
If you can't find some, let me know and I will hook you up.

| There's a couple of Aces around here. Do you happen to have a part number off the packaging or anything? Just wondering. Thanks! |

They were in a divided bin like a tackle box. All seperated by size. I just had to write the Qty and price per piece on the bag. I can check tomorrow and try to get the part # for those interested. Email me your address and I'll send you one. to: bghunter2@aol.com |

I'll have to dial them up. I am in need of a spring and the black screw as well. |

hmmm that is a lot of dough for those parts.
I had a chain here in town order a bunch, they only charged me $1.20 or so for the thumbscrew.

That does sound a lot better. Are they exact or very close? |

"Starr36" How close to exact are they? I think some of us are interested in knowing.

Thanks for the tip. I was able to find Servalite 900-B grommets, which are a little bit larger than the ones you found (9/16 x 1/4), but they work great. I just replaced six old dried up, busted 28 year old grommets (which, as you know, serve no purpose, since the screw hits the top of the metal opening).
I have to say that I like kind of these better than the original grommets. These are real rubber and the BOSS grommets are kind of plastic-y. One thing I notice is the play is a little less - meaning there is less up and down motion on the pedal. I noticed it when switching with my hand, but you can't really tell the difference when you use your foot. And, you know, 99 times out of 100 I use my foot.
Oh, and they were $0.59 a pop as opposed to $5 from BOSS or $3.95 on eBay. |

.35 cents
I.D. 1/4 O.D. 9/16 Thickness 1/4 Groove 3/8 Groove Width 1/16 It Fit's great too. I found the grommets at my local ace hardware store.
I called Roland yesterday and i believe he said it is called a pedal guide bushing and when i asked for dimension numbers of the (grommet)he could not find them. Surprise
Anyway we can add this to our list. Rock On- Neaves |
