There's an awlful lot of hiss when I click it down and not touch the guitar,
Do I need a NS-2? It's a lot of money for something a pedal isn't ment to do, not to sound ungrateful to Boss's wonderful pedals.

Cheers

I always had that same problem horrible hiss if I wasn't touching one of the strings. And yes a NS-2 will fix that problem.

I've noticed hiss on SEVERAL of Boss' OD/Distortion units. I realize with gain comes noise, but WTF. I'm not bashing them. Unfortunately I find my Digitech DF-7(no I'm not overly proud of that statement) to put out about as much gain & grunge, but is relatively quiet. Could I mod to cut the hiss & still retain the overall characteristics of the pedals in question? Hiss is why I stopped using my ADA MP-1 as well. Don't have a soldering station yet & don't trust the local tech enough to do extensive work on the preamp. Again, thanks.
