Oops. I was a bit 'off' when I replied to this thread().
It is indeed Conn. I also didn't note the model, which is an ST-2, the smaller more portable unit, not the larger 'Frankenstein's Laboratory' looking ones with multiple wheels and dials.

Here is a pic of an ST-2:

Here's one of the larger models:

Both of these were made from I believe the 30's through the 60's and 70's with very little change except with model #'s (without looking at the nameplate, you probably couldn't see any difference between an ST-2,4, or 6. I believe it went from ST-2 thru ST-9)

There were other models and one of the more popular was the ST-11 portable solid state unit introduced in the 70's:

my OLDEST piece...? hmmm... i HAD a 1962 Gibson ES-335 and a 1963 Fender Jazzmaster which i had to sell earlier this year...

so i think the oldest piece now is my non-working 1963 Fender Echo Chamber (tape echo) and/or my blonde 1963 fender bassman head.

I mainly dabble.
electric guitar mostly and acoustic uke,Ive been trying to convert a uke to electric but the nylon strings mean a guitar style pickup wont work and I just get a weird look at the music store followed by a ridiculous price quote. The old banjo I look at more than play, it would be a real shame to bust a 100 year old banjo. I put new strings on it about once yearly and screw around with it once in a while. The Dove is straight acoustic and I have no plans of installing a pickup in it.
I rethought the old bastard part and wondered if it was over the top. I'm glad you got a kick out of it tho.

so much gear ...so little time...and money.... i would like to get a uke and maybe some other acoustic instruments..i.e bouzouki,banjo.12 string, resonator and a good six string acoustic eventually... there is a big trad music scene in ireland where the banjo, mandolin, bouzouki etc...are used a lot so you see a lot of them for sale in the buy and sell etc.... and small ad's in newspapers.... i have 5 electric guitars,a nylon string classical,a ovation 6 string and the mandolin, not to mention the amps and pedals lying around the spare room... ..if mrs franzoni sees anymore coming into the house this place will turn thermo-nuclear.............

the biggest problem with gear as an investment is the trauma one lives through when you need to sell.

For some of us, it's the same when we're about to buy as well.

What may be worse is that we invest in all this gear, then, inevitably, someday, we die. I've quite an investment that obviously will go to my son the guitarist, but he's a shredder & not much into the technical goodies like mixers, interfaces, recorders, & other FOH gear. Maybe I can be buried "IN" my Martin with some of my stuff randomly tossed into my final box.

I have so many guitars, pedals, amps, vinyl records, books that if I have to move I break my back for sure. If I die before my wife she is going to have all the trouble
Thinking of it all this material things really limit my freedom, but its nice to have anyway
Someday I perhaps sell it all and go to Peru for a year or two, thats my dream. I probably never go as I cant separate from my guitars
