One of the salesman at the local music store was quite the kidder.I had been the butt of a couple little jokes so after I bought my Les Paul I thought I'd get even. First thing Monday morning I went up to the counter and asked him for some guitar wire and a Les Paul wiring diagram. Why do you need that he asked? Are you having problems with the new guitar? No,I said;that guitar is too damn heavy,so yesterday we decided to lighten it up a bit but had gone to deep with the router and caught the wires and pulled them out.The look of pure astonishment on his face was worth the price of the guitar. And before you ask my LP is still just as heavy as it was new
Harmony Central once had a thread about funny music store stories. lets just say that its scary that some of these people have a job let alone a job in a music store.

Is that Harmony Central thread gone or how do we find it?
hey Defrag, it was quite a while ago i doubt it would still be there. it was titled something like "guitar center horror stories" i wish that thread was still around haha. i forget a lot of them but one of my favorites was one chick at GC pronounced "Les Paul" like "leh paul". guess she thought it was french..
and there were a bunch where employees didnt know how to plug in pedals properly etc
