Is it good as a PSA for supplying Boss pedals?

depends, an one-spot is a switchtype powersupply, different kind of species. Most of the times an onespot will do just fine but some companies warne people to not use that type of power supplies (acess electronics for example)

The new PSA is also switched mode ("PSA120S"). I don't like either of them.

Check out http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/articles/trans.htm for an additional opinion... (OK, I like Stinkfoot's page on thisbecause he agrees with me )

I use a couple of these units & don't find much wrong with them. They are indeed switching power supplies & can introduce more noise than standard linear supplies. They are cheaper & more efficient but you'll have to A/B them with a standard supply in your setup to see for yourself if it'll work out.

My biggest concern is the risk of what they will do to your pedal board if they fail. Dr. Bob can confirm that a failed switched mode supply has the potential (excuse the pun) to do massive damage to the stuff it's connected to.

I don't want to expose my DM-2 to this risk...

That's right.. I remember about that now.
I concur Laurie, based on Bob's experience.
Am I relegated to swinging mine by the tail into the woods? haha
Tks for reminding us about repercussions upon failure.

Nah... I'd just power cheap replaceable pedals with one if I had one - stock DS-1, SD-1, etc.
