Specifically, I am looking at picking up a CS-3 (or CS-2 if I get lucky) and am curious if they will eat batteries or not. I run a SD-1 and CE-5 right now on batteries, and they do just fine. When I had a dcelay, of course, it was adaptor all the way. Where does the compressor fit into this scale- is it closer to an Overdrive or a Delay?

I've listed current draw for every pedal on the main pages. This should give you an indication of how battery hungry they are.

The CS-2 uses 4mA (the same as the SD-1) while the CS-3 uses 10mA. The CE-5 consumes 22mA so it is by far the hungriest pedal of the lot but it's still miles below the average delay or reverb pedal.
