I just received a PSM-5 in the mail. The serialnumber inside says 237600. When I use the decoder on this site it says it was build on october 1982. That seems quite strange because the description on this pedal on this site says it was build from march 1983.
Anyone any thoughts on this?

Th description on this site says it was SOLD from JANUARY 1983 so I think they made a few before selling it . How is that with the newer pedals like the fz-5 ? Are those serials from the pre selling period ? |

That would be nice
Indeed a black label. I can't wait to compare it with my other PSM-5 at home, I'm really interested what differences I find. |

Grappig dat je allebei als nederlander in het engels op elkaars topic reageert, maarja dan snappen de andere forumleden weer niet waar het over gaat |

That's a very early PSM-5. Apart from my own 285300, it's the only black label PSM-5 I got in the serial number archive. |

Vandaar... But, no, not really any differences, except fot the backlabel. Only thing I've noticed is that the let on the early PSM-5 is a little bit bigger but that's all, no tone differences |
