| What's a fair price for a Boss DD-5? There's a guy offering to sell me one with adaptor for 900 NOK (about 156 USD). It's seems like a much better and more versatile delay pedal than the DD-6. |

| The price sounds about average for a good condition DD-5. |

| He is now offering 800 NOK (about 140 USD)for the DD-5 without adaptor, manual and box. Should I try getting him to lower the price? |

Yes, of course, you should try getting him to lower the price if you can. However, $146USD is good price for a DD-5 in good condition. DD-5 is a very good pedal, its tempo jack is very useful. |

I like to use it in the Mode 11 when playing with a band. The delay might sound bad if it is not in tempo with the song you are playing. When playing with a band, specially garage bands, the tempo is mostly set by the drums and it is not always the same tempo. It can be affected by factors such as the mood, whether you have warmed up or not, beers, etc. There is where I find the DD-5 w/ FS-5U useful, I can set the tempo while playing. And I still can turn on & off the delay with a single stomp on the pedal. The tap tempo is more ergonomic, if that is the word, than setting it with the knob. |
