| I noticed that the new Hardwire RV-7 is for all intents and purposes a Boss RV-7, so what happened? Why didn't Boss release this? |

What else can Boss do? I mean the RV-5 is like their pinnacle release for reverb.. They're digging for something unique as it is. Can you imagine a DS-3 or OD-4? They're heavily into COSM now.
We have some good ideas over on our Mockup thread but A) They'll never see the thread, B) They probably wouldn't make anything on it, & C) I think they'll probably keep on modeling anyway.
What would you suspect a Boss RV-6 or RV-7 would have that an RV-5 doesn't? |

| Maybe Boss is planning on a RV-20 (good idea if you are listening)? |

The same features as the Hardwire; reverse reverb and a different spring setting. And does the RV-5 go 100% wet like the Rv-3? I used to own an Rv-5 and can't remember, but anyway, why is that Hardwire have blatantly modelled this range of pedals on what boss should be doing next? They're even using the same initialled names. |

That's one thing I'd love to see. A charcoal black twin pedal. Dual reverb with a reverse setting. |

| And for RV-7 owners, how does it sound? Comparison with an RV-2? |

I think Digitech might of stole the thunder with these hardwire pedals... the reverb is using lexicon for it's sound....and their one of the big boys in the reverb world..... |

That's the name i was trying to remember, Lexicon. In the RV-5 manual it says the spring is based on a lexicon reverb, hence my post about how Digitech are also using it, and so that the RV-7 really should have been a boss pedal.
Since Boss have only really released the DD-7 in revent times I think it's time for a couple of new pedals. Fingers crossed for a Boss RV-6 or 7 or even an RV-20.

In a extremely loud and violent whisper, YES, I believe the flame O the torch was taken. Asleep at the wheel is commonplace in society, but in a corporate setting, fairly unacceptable.
