I found this one hereabouts (I think) a while back, I haven't done it to mine which is the analogue version as I only use it for very subtle chorus and it's great as it is for that

Hi everyone!

I have a ce-5 analogue one, and it sounds very warm and beaufiful chorus.

I did a little mod on it: I replaced the c22 capacitor to 22pf capacitor one (the original had 5pf) and what a change!
Now it sounds more full, organic and gives a incredible lush chorus.

For more details, read the article by Dan Wiley on this link:

Hi hangnail

There are at least two different versions of the CE-5.
Which version do you have? And are thinking of modding?

Thanks to archimedes for the Analog mod tip/link.

Hi
Laurie kindly posted some pics of this Analog CE-5 in the Pedal Internals thread a while ago.

CE-5 MIT Serial JN53647 June 2000 Analog Version.....Laurie.

I keep an up to date index here in this link.

The CE-5 Analog has two smaller 8-pin IC's one is a BBD, & the other is a Clock driver for the BBD.

The digital version has a larger square multi-pin SMD IC.

BBD = Bucket Brigade Delay line IC
SMD - SMC = Surface Mounted Device, Surface Mounted Component.

I opened it up and it's an analog one. I had seen the mod that archimedes had written about (Thanks man). Just was checking to see if anything else was out there. I have been checking out this site for some time. Really like the info I have seen in here. Want to start doing some mods on my pedals. Just like everyone else, love great tone.
