agreed...but how many players know that? I think EH knew perfectly well that they would sell some units by passing this thing off as an att....i freq. a few other forums on the net and you wouldn't believe the people that are gassin for this baby because they think it'll take their 100w. amps down to bedroom volume lvl.(it will but your amp isn't really being pushed)...just my opinion that it's a bogus product...so far the only thing EH has done that is worthless....buy a Boss EQ.....it'll do what this thing does in spades ...and more!!!!!!!!

I NEED TO GIVE A WARNING TO READERS OF THIS THREAD
If this was used on the output of a tube amp, it may well blow up the output stage.

Not sure I understand about your "Boss EQ" comment? Would be interested to hear more!

...my comment about the Boss GE-7 was directed at the folks who want to use this thing to tame amps...nobody i've spoken to intended to use it between their amp&cab they were gonna put it in their chain or ex loop...dime the amp and then use the pedal to bring the volume down....at least a GE-7 will let you eq the crap out of it...and you can bring the vol. down also!

Personally I like using 3 live hamsters in series to attenuate my amp.
This preserves my great tone & provides hours of entertainment for me.
Oh shit, gotta go! PETA is at the door AGAIN!

Hey T.D.

That setup won't work properly.
You need 2 extra jumper loops, between the middle hamster.

DeFrag, In this application, I don't believe you actually need any Duct tape.
Well Unless you run the amp, FULL TILT into first the hamster.

C'mon Uncle Bob - how easily we forget. As long as the amp is at 6 or above, the amperage alone will hold the hamsters in place. You must have your jack placed in the - receptacle on the 1st one & the + on the last one, then place the center hamster. It's a bit of a noisy process & must be done carefully, but the payoff is obvious. I hate having to explain hamster polarity to people as bright & experienced as you guys.
